Ordering coffee without panic

Ask for coffee politely, understand a simple reply, and rehearse the phrase out loud.

Two useful ways to ask

In Spanish, you can be direct with “quiero” or softer with “me gustaría”. For cafés, both work. “Me gustaría” is more polite — tiny manners, big payoff.

Quiero un café.

I want a coffee.

Me gustaría un café, por favor.

I would like a coffee, please.
